Sunshine Studios Ltd’s Policy towards children

ALL teachers of students whether studio based or home based that are endorsed by Sunshine Studios will have to undergo and await results of Advanced CRB Disclosure Checks before being allowed to teach in any capacity for or on the behalf of Sunshine Studios.

Sexually explicit or implicit language will not be allowed on the Sunshine Studios web site or studio

Sunshine Studios will not knowingly publish the surname, age, telephone number or address of children under the age of 16

Sunshine Studios will make every effort to establish whether a correspondent is under the age of 16 and, if so, to obtain their agreement to publish their email address, if requested

Sunshine Studios will not publish listings on-line or in newsletters which appear to encourage children under the age of 16 to respond

Sunshine Studios will not knowingly publish the ages of children aged 16 or 17 and will seek to protect such correspondents from abuse

Scrutiny of members

Sunshine Studios is not formally a membership organisation. Nevertheless, dance teachers and others who are or have been listed on the web site are considered ‘members’ and, as such, will be subject to the following constraints:

Having a conviction for criminal offences against children will result in the ‘member’ being banned from all aspects of Sunshine Studios.

Engaging in contact with children under the age of 16, as a result of encountering their information in an email newsletter or otherwise through Sunshine Studios, will be permitted by email only provided such contact does not include:

Using inappropriate language or allowing the child to do so

Make suggestive comments to a child

Making arrangements to meet or speak to the child

What Sunshine Studios will do if there are allegations of abuse

Where there is an allegation of abuse from a child against a member or a site visitor, Sunshine Studios may forward the details to the appropriate authority in the country concerned, after taking the following actions:

Telling the child we are taking the complaint seriously

Being honest; explaining we will have to tell somebody else, emphasising that this will be on a need to know basis

Document all the allegations and ensure that at least one other adult is copied in to every item of correspondence

Seeking advice from child care professionals, local authorities and or law enforcement departments.

5) You are not permitted to link to or use all or any part of Sunshine Studios website for any reason which is unlawful, defamatory, harmful obscene or objectionable and, in particular, you are not permitted to transmit anything which, in Sunshine Studios opinion, harms its business or in any way offends other users or persons.

6) You are also not permitted to alter Sunshine Studios website in any way or post onto or transmit to Sunshine Studios website, any material containing software viruses or files which may damage or disrupt the good working order of computer or telecommunications equipment.

7) Sunshine Studios reserves the right to refuse or remove anything which is transmitted via or posted on Sunshine Studios website and which, in Sunshine Studios opinion, is objectionable or does not comply with these terms and conditions.  You must ensure that your advertisement is not libellous, defamatory, misleading, obscene or otherwise illegal in any way.

8)   By applying to place an advertisement with Sunshine Studios (whether paid-for or free) you agree to the following Terms and Conditions contained in a legally binding contract between you and us. “Us” and “We” means Sunshine Studios Limited.

9) Sunshine Studios may record, preserve, trace and disclose anything which has been transmitted to, from or via Sunshine Studios website, where required by law or where Sunshine Studios is acting in good faith. Sunshine Studios website may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by parties other than Sunshine Studios. The operation of such websites is outside Sunshine Studios control and you proceed at your own risk. Sunshine Studios does not endorse or sponsor and is not liable for the products, services or content you access through any linked site.

10) Sunshine Studios will collect, use, store and disclose your personal details in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is accessed from Sunshine Studios website homepage. It is the intention of the Theatre that all terms of the Contract between the Theatre and you are contained in these terms and conditions. If you wish to rely on any variation of these terms, you must ensure that such variation is in writing and signed by you and on behalf of Sunshine Studios before any Contract is made. If any part of these terms and conditions are not enforceable then this will not affect the enforceability of any other part.

11)   You must ensure that the information and content you provided to us has all the necessary authorities and permission for the use of all pictures, graphics, logos and copy and is not in breach of the rights of any other person or any law.

12) You agree to indemnify us fully against any losses whatever which may arise directly or indirectly from your breach of clauses 7 and or 8 above.

13)  Unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing, we cannot guarantee that a particular advertisement will be published on any particular date. We may decline to publish any advertisement for any lawful reason.

14) You must send any requests for a listing to be edited or removed from Sunshine Studios to us by Fax, Letter or Email.
